Good Greek diner. Usually busy because It is the only decent family restaurant (that serves a lot more than Greek food) that Seminole has. Love the tuna salad with egg club sandwich!

Ok solo for breakfast. This is an old diner and a treasure like a dinosaur found in the desert. Ok so the coffee was hot and tasty. The service was quick. I asked About grits since I lived in Georgia and know grits in a Biblical Sense.... Well they are Ok if you like them runny with No flavor. I had to lace them with salt and Butter to make them a watery sensation that felt like.....watery grits, not fun for a born again-grits guy. The eggs over easy, corned beef hash and wheat toast were excellent. I would come back minus the grits, so management. Get hot, get somebody who likes to eat grits and Have them show yo boys how to do it please! We are technically in the South and grits should have: 1. Flavor. Consistency is a preference, I prefer "forked" grits that sort of let the fork stand on its own. Other than that, come down to this dinosaur diner before a chain restaurant moves in....

Good food with attentive service. Lots of room, no wait during a Saturday lunch. Breakfast during lunch time.

Took my daughter there for lunch, we have been customers for years.. Ordered clam chowder, my daughter removed, hard, fur like object from her mouth. The waitress said the distributor was at the register and he explained it was crabmeat. REALLY?? We went to front and manager and distributor were there. I asked who puts crabmeat in clam chowder. Neither could answer. Bothersome, that manager did not even come to the table. We would really like to know what she put in her mouth!!!

Taking them down a star for lousy hollandaise sauce. I ordered a custom omelette and asked for the sauce on top, it came with barely any on it. I almost asked for more, then I tasted it and I was like, wait a minute I really don't want any more of that lol. It was bland and tasteless, but I was charged $1.25? He added Gyro meat to his and they only charged him .75 Cents WTF?? I won't avoid the place, just no eggs benedict in my future.

Delicious! Must try the fresh dinner rolls, soft, warm, and addictive! We had: Chef salad: small is huge! Tons of meat, fresh lettuce, cheese, and veggies. Greek skillet, terrific! Chocolate chip pancakes, the kids gobbled them up!

It was definitely our mistake to expect seafood in Florida to taste like seafood we get in New England. Hubby ordered the medley of fried fish, clam strips, shrimp and scallops. The batter was crunchy and heavy, not at all like the light batter we are used to. The coleslaw was tasty; french fries were ok. It came with a large salad and hot rolls. I had the dinner special, Greek salmon. It was a piece of salmon topped with spinach, feta, and tomatoes. The fish was dry and had little taste. It was served with a large salad, yellow rice, and corn; an odd mix if you ask me. On the good side, the place is spotless, the waitstaff is super friendly, the prices are great, and the portions are generous. We don't plan on returning, but I think it is worth trying yourself.

Huge menu. Everything I've had here was good. From the breakfast to the burgers. I'd recommend asking for your French fries extra crispy. Servers are always friendly.

I love this place for breakfast. Lots of items to choose from. Really reasonably priced. They have sausage patties! It's your hometown place. Lots of regulars. Gets very busy but worth the wait. Great service. I always say we should come for other meals, but breakfast is the best.
(5)Conroy H.
Their Greek Lemon Chicken Orzo soup is the best I've ever had! We get 4 large to-go containers for family members who also love it. Portion size is large, serving is fast. Price is average.

Here's the deal with this place...me and my friend were the youngest ones here when we went for lunch. I'm not sure what that says, but it seemed to definitely impact the food. No strong seasonings and no spice is what came to mind after what I had which was the soup and the "Southwest" chicken wrap. I hate to quote Mr. Ramsay on here but you know how I'm saying it when I say "So bland." That being said, it was a good portion and cooked well but just seemed scared to put any seasoning on it to actually call it southwest. My friend had the chicken philly and actually said the same thing before I even mentioned it to him. I'm in no way saying this is a bad place or has bad food...it's just not for me. I will say, the service was excellent and spot-on.

Happy to find a place open on New Year's Day...but I was skeptical. I have to say I was very happy with my Florentine Benedict and fruit...but my fruit wasn't quite ripe. My husband said the french toast was like his grandmothers, but it was eggier than I prefer. I'd come back.

Always enjoy Saturday morning breakfasts here. My daughter either gets a waffle or pancakes. They are huge! I always lean towards the egg dishes. Had an omelette today. It was a bit overcooked but generally speaking the food is always good.

Love Mamas. This is our base of operations for every vacation we take down here. They do good, homestyle cooking at great prices. They are good for breakfast, lunch or dinner, and the service is always friendly and efficient. If you are in the Madeira Beach area, check them out.

Love this "mom and pop" place. Great friendly staff, clean, good prices, tasty food. Staff is accommodating to my dietary needs and happy to look at ingredients list.
(5)Matt G.
Took the family to Mamas for the first time. We have been coming to the area for 7 years and this by far is the best breakfast in town. Service was medium but you can tell its a local spot where everybody knows everybody. Worth your trip great prices and great food.
(5)Twylla S.
A classic Greek breakfast diner. Loads and Loads of food for the price of nothing!! I tried something like the Gyro Skillet. Holy holy... I thought I died and went to heaven. Nope just Mama's Kitchen. This place gets all my thumbs up and then some!
(5)Kaitlyn C.
I have eaten here a few times and it's really nothing too special. If you want a more hearty or flavorful breakfast you are better off going to a Denny's or an iHop. The servers are Middle Aged women who look very unhappy to be there, too. If you just want bare bones of a meal relatively fast then maybe this is the place for you.
(2)Teri B.
We eat here weekly, on the way to work. Salmon is fantastic! Breakfast is terrific. Nice portions, great staff! Consistently good. Dependable quality.
(5)Danny B.
Overall not a bad place, standard breakfast fare. The only negative things were the in attentive service and the large screen tvs with the constant local adds in your face. Obviously not making enough from the food that they feel the necessity to bombard you with advertisements while you eat...just a little bit tacky.
(3)David C.
We went to Mamas Kitchen on a recent family trip with 9 people. I think a four star is fair as everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. It is a ton of food for a good price so make sure you are hungry.
(4)E F.
Solid quality food with clean restaurant. Similar to a good diner from up north. Fairly large menu with good prices. Good value. Had dinner here on 9/1/14. Nothing special but good value.
(4)Fred E.
Came for breakfast. My friend couldn't decide whether to have the veggie omelet or the corned beef hash omelet and since I had to make the same decision, we ordered one of each and split it. Both were excellent - the veggie omelet had a good mix of vegetables and the pieces were a good size - some places dice them up so small you can't taste it. The corned beef was also a good size - was wondering how they were going to make an omelet out of it - basically it was an egg pancake with the corned beef hash wrapped in the egg pancake - delish! The price was very reasonable, good quality and good quantity. Service was friendly and efficient.

Never had a decent meal there yet. Many times I've tried, but always sucks. I don't know what person would think this restaurant is anything to brag about. I mean my god, processed food? Hosting service makes you wonder why am I even here. Service, well it is very spotty. Never know what to expect. The only restaurant worse than this one would be the Seminole Family Restaurant down the Blvd. The worst problem for both these places are overpricing for what they offer. Their clientele, if you notice, are all older people on a fixed income, with no taste buds left, and no other alternative in the area. Good Lord, is there any decent eating establishments in Seminole worthwhile. I do know the restaurant on Bay Pines Blvd called "Doe Doe's is fantastic, but only open till 2:30 pm, unfortunately. Please Seminole, give us a GREAT PLACE TO EAT. The only reason I can think of why this place is a 3 or4 star, is because there is nothing in this town. Widow Brown Restaurant on Seminole Blvd in Largo is another good alternative. Why waste your money on a shameless restaurant, when you can drive a little further, and get a good meal at a good deal. Move on to Largo, my friends, or toward St Pete. Good Luck

Great place and service too! My husband and I tried this place for the first time for dinner. Food reminds me of an old diner food all so tasty. The dinner rolls were huge and fresh and soft both of our dinners were just like home cooking. We enjoyed it very much and our service was excellent our waitress Annette was top notch as well. All older people but I figure that's because they like the home old fashioned way of cooking didn't bother us at all cause the service and food was great!

Busy on the weekday morning that we went...I guess that's a good sign. Great local breakfast mom & pop place..so glad we tried it for the 1st time last week, being new homeowners in the area. Boyfriend had the Southern Skillet, me the Greek Skillet...both were yummy..loved the feta on mine. Side of hash was nice & crispy, how we like it when we make it out camping. We will be returning again soon...thank u!

As far as diners go, its pretty damn good. Most dishes are under $10 and I have never been able to finish my plate. I love my taco omlette with salsa on my last trip. I always try to have something out of the ordinary here but my son loves thier chocolate chip pancakes.

First time at Mama's, arriving at 10 this morning. Full house, give your name and wait in line. Constant coming and going of the after-church brunch bunch. I'm seated about 20 minutes later, a comfortable booth along the wall. A waitress appears with the menu less than five minutes later asking what to drink, coffee please. The cup appears a minute later, and was refilled three times by two people. Constant chatter was deafening in a good way. Ham omelet and fixins appear in less than five minutes in this capacity crowd, impressive. Their two Hispanic helpers clear, clean and re-arrange a table in 60 seconds, masterful. The four TV screens don't show TV, only a loop of local merchant ads. Two dining halls separated by the cashier counter facing the entrance door, plus small outdoor dining area with five tables. On the wall behind the cashier is a hanging burlap bag that says terrorist body bag, with pictures of Osama and Saddam crossed out in red. An American flag plus photos of what I assume are military family members. The most patriotic display I've ever seen in a restaurant, applause. Several wall paintings of tropical scenes plus other artwork. Upon leaving there was an even bigger crowd waiting, I assume other days are different. Generous portions and fantastic service during the rush, they deserve top honors.

Have eaten here twice this week. Both times our dinners were delicious. They have daily specials. Breakfast served all day. Easy to find.
(4)James K.
This is diner food done well. Good soups and Philly sandwiches. Also good breakfasts. Inexpensive and straight forward.
(4)Crystal S.
The service here is really great and the dining is very clean. The breakfast food is also very good, unfortunately the lunch and dinner food is only sub par to okay and most of it seems pre-packaged from the food delivery company. The soup was in the heating pot so long that it became really concentrated and the tea tastes like no one has cleaned out the container in quite some time. Also, the fruit tends to have that fridge tinge taste (onion essence on fruit).
(3)Jerry W.
Very nice place to eat breakfast. Friendly waitresses. I had the Greek Omelet. It was good. Could have used a pinch more salt and pepper.
(4)Suzy P.
I've eaten here about six times. Some things like sandwiches and salads are great. Probably the specials, too. But like a fool I ordered something when I knew it wasn't likely to be freshly prepared. The roast turkey was deli sliced turkey covered on all purpose yellow sauce. The roast beef of my companion appeared to be the same situation. Stay away from these types of items? And you'll probably be ok.

Not bad or great. Timing is the key for best food.

Trying to catch up on my reviews. We ate here on our first day and actually found it on the yelp app. We walked in and the place had a lot of customers from and older generation which in my mind signals good food and good service because they tend to be on the picky side. I was in the mood for and omelet, but I found something on the menu the caught my attention more than the omelets. It was cast iron skillet with potatoes, eggs, jalapeños, green peppers, grilled onions, and covered with sausage gravy. When it came out it was very hot and delicious. I also ordered to large orange juices which were filled as soon as I emptied them. My friend the lives down here also went with us and he ordered the home made Lasagna. He said the tomato Sauce and tomatoes on it were really fresh and most places your order lasagna it's just spaghetti sauce, but this place was actually home made good stuff! We will be back! Good service and good Food!

I have been going to this place since I was a senior in high school (I'm now 32), and the food has always been consistently good. They serve breakfast anytime too, and have lots of comfort-type-foods. I have probably tried everything on their menu at least once.. but am partial to the meatloaf, chicken cheese philly, and their eggplant parmesan. I also asked them if they would make me an eggplant sandwich once (something that's not on their menu), and they were more than happy to oblige. The guy that used to own the place won the lottery I guess.. you used to always see his Hummer parked outside! lol it's under new management now, but the food is as good as always! definitely recommended!

Dropped in for breakfast with the wife. We were quickly seated and waitress brought water and coffee. Fast service. I had the Southern Skillet. Wife had eggs and sausage with hash browns. Food was cooked just right. Drinks were kept filled. Will return again soon.

I also have been eating at mama's here almost 20 years and ian's review is spot on about the owner winning florida lottery and yes he still came to work everyday for a long time but didn't share a dime with any employees. This is a family place specializing in breakfast that except for grits is served all day.the dinner menu is highly varied tasty big portions and very reasonable.there are 2 dining areas so waits aren't long and parking lot is expansive. This is not a speciality seafood restaurant as one reviewer gave poor review.as with any restaurant if you want good maine seafood in florida look on yelp for best places to find it . mama's is and has been consistently good in every aspect
